Post Office announces new rules for postal discounts effective November 23rd 2008.
Important Reminder!
The new USPS Move Update Requirements take effect on November 23rd, 2008.
The new Move Update standard has been expanded to include all Standard Mail and all First-Class Mail.
The minimum frequency of change of address processing has increased to 95 days prior to the mailing
- as opposed to 185 days - the current and (old) requirement.
This means that if you mail on November 23rd, for example, your mailing list (s) must have been updated no earlier
than August 20th in order to receive automation and presort discounted postal rates.
